Overview
Baywave features the biggest wave pool in New Zealand and an epic hydroslide. It attracts 300,000 visitors every year!
The swimming pool complex includes a 25-metre lap pool, a leisure pool (with waves), children’s pools, and spas. It also boasts an Aqua Play Station, which features three water slides, water guns, a tipping water bucket, and plenty of water fountains for hours of enjoyment. It’s perfect for ages 3–12 and is free with entry.
Visitors can treat themselves to delicious food and refreshing drinks from the Poolside Café. While you’re here, check out the gym, browse our merchandise store for new swimwear and accessories, or unwind with a relaxing massage from one of our amazing massage therapists.

Standing and Queuing
Please make yourself known to our customer experience team if you require support while standing and/or queuing, so staff can assist you and bring you to the front of the queue.
Level Access
Baywave is equipped with unobstructed pathways, clear access routes, and automatic doors. Accessible facilities include an accessible toilet at reception, two accessible changing cubicles with toilets and showers, and elevator access to the Clubfit Gym. There are also accessible ramps to the Café and the Leisure/Wave Pool, as well as accessible stairs to the Lap Pool. Hoist access is available for the Lap Pool and Spa, and a water wheelchair is also available.

Disability Assist Dogs
We comply with the New Zealand law regarding Disability Assist dogs. All registered Disability Assist dogs are permitted entry to Baywave. Accepted proof of registration could be presentation of the visitor's Hāpai Access Card displaying the icon shown above OR presentation of registration documentation plus the dog is dressed wearing its relevant service jacket (coat/vest/harness).

Our ‘Hapai All Aquatic Facilities’ membership includes free access for an accompanying support person, if required.
Our 30% discount on casual general swim entry for Hapai cardholders is also available to accompanying support persons.
