Overview
First established in 1971, Greerton Aquatic & Leisure Centre was originally an outdoor pool. It is now a fully enclosed facility featuring three pools and an on-site Clubfit gym.
This substantial recreational space is open to the public and provides a year-round aquatic facility for the community. The centre is also used by many local schools to deliver Learn to Swim programmes.
Lane swimming, aqua aerobics, sensory swimming, and Learn to Swim programmes all take place in the heart of Greerton at this excellent facility.

Greerton Aquatic Centre is equipped with unobstructed pathways and clear access routes. Please note that access to the Clubfit gym is via stairs.

We comply with the New Zealand law regarding Disability Assist dogs. All registered Disability Assist dogs are permitted entry to Baywave. Accepted proof of registration could be presentation of the visitor's Hāpai Access Card displaying the icon shown above OR presentation of registration documentation plus the dog is dressed wearing its relevant service jacket (coat/vest/harness).
Essential Companions
Our ‘Hapai All Aquatic Facilities’ membership includes free access for an accompanying support person if required.
Our 30% off casual general swim entry for Hapai card holders is also offered to accompanying support persons.
