Notes for Cardholders

Extra time for VR escape rooms, eSports, Xbox, and simulators is available for VR customers who need a break.

Bookings Recommended: To ensure availability, we recommend booking in advance, especially during peak hours.

Walk-ins Welcome: While bookings are encouraged, we also welcome walk-ins based on availability.

Multiple chairs and sofas are available. Swivel chairs for VR are available upon request.

We are located on the 1st floor, up two flights of stairs. Please note that there is no elevator available.

Street parking is available, and the free West Street car park is located just 50 meters from our venue.
Urgent Toilet Access

Male and female toilets are located down one flight of stairs. There are 2 spaces in the male toilets and 3 in the female toilets.
Disability Assist Dogs

We comply with New Zealand law regarding Disability Assist Dogs. All registered Disability Assist Dogs are permitted entry to our venue. Accepted proof of registration includes either presenting the visitor's Hāpai Access Card displaying the icon shown above, or presenting registration documentation while the dog is wearing its relevant service jacket (coat, vest, or harness).
Essential Companions

Virtual & Retro welcomes all guests who require an essential companion for support. Our team is committed to ensuring a smooth and enjoyable experience by providing seating options throughout the venue. Companions and parents are also welcome to make tea or coffee in the kitchenette and to watch, supervise, or assist the cardholder during VR sessions.
Difficulty Accessing Visual Information

We are committed to providing an accessible experience for guests who may have difficulty processing visual information. Our staff can offer verbal instructions, simplified explanations, and hands-on demonstrations to assist with understanding activities. In the VR Escape Rooms, we can provide extra hints or guidance as needed. Guests are encouraged to inform staff upon arrival or contact us in advance so that we can tailor their experience for maximum comfort and enjoyment.
