Overview
Artspace Aotearoa is a public contemporary art gallery in Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland that runs a diverse programme of exhibitions and events. We also have a specialist bookshop.
Notes for Cardholders
We can offer support during your visit, with sensory-adjustable visit times available on Tuesdays. Entry is always free.
Standing and Queuing
We have permanent bench-style seating at the entrance of our gallery. If seating with a back is preferred, staff can assist in arranging this
Level Access
We are located on the ground floor with a flat, wheelchair-accessible entrance. We have a dedicated accessible car park, which can be booked on request.
Distances
We have a dedicated accessible car park, which can be booked on request, located 100 m from the entrance up a slight incline.
Public accessible parking is available 10 m from the entrance on a flat street.
The gallery is 100 m from a major bus interchange on a flat street.
Urgent Toilet Access
We have one all-gender accessible toilet at the rear of the gallery, and our staff are happy to help visitors get there.

Your service or disability assist animal is welcome at Artspace Aotearoa. Please get in touch if you have any questions about bringing them.

Difficulty Accessing Visual Information
We have large text on the walls within the gallery so visitors can read information about the exhibition, with staff happy to verbally explain it. We also use large text in parts of our exhibition guides.
Difficulty Accessing Audible Information
Pen and paper are also available for visitors who wish to take notes or communicate with staff.
Hidden Disabilities
We have a quiet Reading Room with seating where visitors can withdraw if required. We are prepared to support invisible needs. We offer a weekly sensory-adjustable visiting session.
