Haven't been to an escape room before?
An escape room is a group experience, where you work as a team to solve puzzles, complete tasks and complete a mission. In our rooms you have 60 minutes to complete the the mission of a room. For safety reasons, you are not locked in the rooms and can exit at any stage if required.

Standing and Queuing
We have seating available next to our reception desk for anyone who requires it.
Level Access
Our downstairs room is wheelchair accessible, however our other rooms are upstairs and are not wheelchair accessible.
Distances
We have parking next to our main entrance and seating available next to our reception desk.
We do not have any wheelchairs available.
The downstairs room is 50M from the reception desk and are up stairs (there is a hand rail).
Urgent Toilet Access
Our toilet facilities are available to all customers, however they are upstairs. If quick access to a bathroom is required, we suggest booking the upstairs rooms.
Disability Assist Dogs
We comply with the NZ law with respect to Disability Assistance dogs. The staff will offer you water for your dog and will indicate the nearest place for the dog to relieve itself.
Essential Companions
Essential companions (+1) accompanying Hāpai Access Cardholders will receive free access to our escape rooms.
Difficulty Accessing Visual Information
Escape rooms have puzzles and challenges that involve reading, writing, mathematics and in some cases carefully inspecting items visually. As escape rooms are team based entertainment, usually someone else in the team is able to assist in explaining or understanding a puzzle to their team member - there is also always a staff member available via radio to ask for assistance, assist you to a seat, escape room, and toilet if required.
Difficulty Accessing Audible Information
Escape rooms can often have both visual and audible clues and cues, however as it is a team based activity we recommend including team member who compliment each other and help to reduce the any barriers. It is also advisable to discuss which room you want to book, so we can talk through (perhaps via email) any possible audible issues.
Through the training that the staff have done with the Hāpai Access Card, they are aware of how they can modify how they communicate with you. This includes making sure you can see their face when speaking, speaking clearly, use of pen and paper and being patient.
Hidden Disabilities
Through the staff's training they are generally aware of hidden access needs, please speak to them about how they can assist in making your time with us extraordinary.
