If you would like to hold an event or function we recommend booking as the party room is subject to availability. Booking forms can be found on our website or alternatively you can call us. Bookings for most games and activities, however, are not required. We have escalator access from Queen Street. Accessibility access is via Aotea Square or directly into the building from the Civic Carpark - look out for the GameOn flag and enter via the Rocket elevator. NB: The entrance door from Aotea Square is not automatic, if you require further assistance with this please call us on (09) 336-1489 and we will come and assist you.
Standing and Queuing
We have seating and couches available near the counter, as well as throughout the arcade, and we can bring you to the front of the queue if necessary.
Level Access
We have elevator access into the arcade, and we also have elevator access to the different levels of the arcade. There is also ramp access to a raised area of the arcade. NB: The entrance door from Aotea Square is not automatic. If you require further assistance with this, please call us on (09) 336-1489 and we will come and assist you.
Distances
There is accessible parking available on Level 1 of the Civic Carpark. The Civic Carpark is located directly adjacent to our building, which can be entered directly from the carpark. Park near the entrances marked 'Metro Centre' and take the escalator to the floor marked 'G'. From the Civic Carpark escalator, follow the passage approximately 10 metres to the Rocket Lift and take the Rocket Lift down to the Upper Basement (UB) Level to enter directly into the arcade.
Urgent Toilet Access
There is a small bathroom inside the arcade which is available for our guests on request; however, this does not have accessible toilets. There is a public toilet on Level Two of the building, which can be accessed via the Rocket Lift; this requires an access code that we can provide. For accessible toilets, also on Level Two, we are currently looking into getting our own key, but at the moment you need to get a key from Centre Management. There is a phone number on the door, but we can assist you with getting there and obtaining a key if necessary.
Disability Assist Dogs
We comply with New Zealand law regarding Disability Assist dogs. All registered Disability Assist dogs are permitted entry to the business venue. Accepted proof of registration may include presentation of the visitor's Hāpai Access Card displaying the icon shown above, or presentation of registration documentation along with the dog wearing its relevant service jacket (coat, vest, or harness).

We have no restrictions on entry to the arcade — there is no entry fee. Essential Companions are eligible for the same discounted offer that Hāpai Cardholders receive.
Difficulty Accessing Visual Information
Our staff will offer to guide the visitor to a seat or to the toilet and inform them how to seek assistance at our business venue.
Difficulty Accessing Audible Information
The entire arcade has signage, and we have pen and paper at the counter if necessary.
Hidden Disabilities
We have a small party room, separate from the main arcade, that can be used as a quiet space if necessary when not in use. We will ask what we can do to help when we see this icon, but if anything else happens during your experience, please feel free to approach the front desk or arcade staff for further assistance.
