Overview
Discover Hamilton Zoo, the largest zoological park in the North Island, just moments from the city centre of Kirikiriroa. Spread across 25 hectares in the Te Kaaroro Nature Precinct, our park is a vibrant space where wildlife, conservation, and community come together. From majestic tigers and inquisitive chimpanzees to native birds and reptiles, every animal here is part of a bigger story—one of care, protection, and purpose. We’re committed to the highest standards of animal welfare and actively contribute to conservation efforts both locally and globally. Our mission is to inspire a deeper understanding of the natural world and empower visitors to be part of its protection. Whether you're curious, passionate, or simply looking for a meaningful day out, your visit supports real change. Join us at Hamilton Zoo and be part of something wild—with heart.
