Overview
A picturesque restored villa in Culverden is home to the Red Post Cafe, an inviting place to stop for lunch, a snack, great coffee. We are fully licensed and offer everything from muffins and scones, cakes and slices, and light lunches. Vegetarian, gluten free options and a children's menu are available.Open Mon to Thu 8am to 4.30pm, Thu to Sun 8am to 5.00pm
Notes for Cardholders
At the Red Post Cafe, we want all our customers to feel right at home and to receive quality service. We realise that our disabled customers face barriers that they may need help to overcome - your server will have specific training around those barriers and what they can do to make a difference for you.When you show the Hāpai Access Card we will give you a 15% discount on all hot drinks.
Standing and Queuing
If you find it difficult to queue please take a seat and attract one of the staff by holding up your card. We are happy to come to you to take your order. If we are busy perhaps ask another customer to let us know that you are there.
Level Access
There is wheelchair access right throughout the Red Post Cafe, however, Please access via the front door, as there is no ramp at the rear. The garden is at the front of the cafe and wheelchair access is achieved from the street. There is a veranda, but note to get to the garden requires going down steps.
Distances
There is off street disabled parking right outside.
Urgent Toilet Access
There are three toilets to the rear of the cafe accessed via french doors with a slight lip. There is a disabled toilet with rails on the right hand side.
Disability Assist Dogs
You are allowed registered assistance dogs anywhere on the premises. Well behaved dogs registered, or otherwise are allowed in the garden.
Essential Companions
We understand if you need someone to assist you while you’re here and it is fine if they don't eat or have a cup of coffee.
