Overview
Libraries provide people in our community with opportunities for lifelong learning, access to information, leisure, and reading. Resources available include books and magazines for all ages, IT services such as printing and photocopying, and free internet access. The library hosts a wide variety of events and activities catering to all sections of the community
Notes for Cardholders
Standing and Queuing
The library has plenty of seating available at the service desks.
Level Access
The library is fully wheelchair accessible.
Distances
Dedicated compliant parking spaces are available. Wheelchairs and walkers are available on request.
Urgent Toilet Access
Seven public toilets are available, including one downstairs toilet suitable for wheelchair access. All are uni-sex, and there is a lift if downstairs toilets are unavailable.
Disability Assist Dogs
We comply with New Zealand law regarding disability assist dogs. All registered disability assist dogs are permitted entry to the business venue.
Essential Companions
Everyone is welcome.
Difficulty Accessing Visual Information
Announcements can be made over the loudspeaker, and staff are available to assist with any enquiries.
Difficulty Accessing Audible Information
Pen and paper are available, as well as online access.
Hidden Disabilities
Quiet spaces are available, and suggestions about the visitor experience are welcome.
